On the night of October 6 and morning of October 7, I spent a good while at the King Khalid International Airport while traveling back to the U.S. via U.A.E. and Armenia.
Less than a month later, Yemeni rebels targeted Riyadh’s airport with a ballistic missile. The plume of smoke was visible, just a kilometre from the terminal. It was first reported that a U.S. Patriot missile struck it down. This narrative has now been questioned.
