Lunch at Kafe Leopold in Georgetown, National Air and Space Museum

We ordered the waffles with plum and currants and a squash soup. Kafe Leopold is tucked in Caty’s Alley and offers a respite from Georgetown’s frenetic M Street. Sochi Olympics were on the TV. The bus took us to Farragut Metro, and we emerged above ground at the Smithsonian stop. Today’s museum of choice was the National Air and Space Museum, final resting place of Charles Lindbergh’s “Spirit of St. Louis,” the original Wright Brothers’ flyer, and a number of Apollo capsules.
