This afternoon I dropped by XSport Fitness in Alexandria right off the 395. It’s a complete gym, with a variety of classes, swimming pool and hot tub, spa, sauna, cross-fit style equipment, etc.
I’ve had previous memberships at LA Fitness (Orlando), 24-Hour Fitness (Honolulu) and Anytime Fitness (Petoskey) as well as with university gyms in Ann Arbor and Coral Gables. There could be others. And then there is the ion magnum machine at the lovely Body Language Spa in Tawas City, Michigan: 30 minutes will give the equivalent workout as two months at the gym.
So in Alexandria I signed up for a monthly membership at XSport Fitness and am looking forward to getting back in the fitness groove. I may get back into yoga. With Isabel I’ve taken free classes in Kapiolani Park under a tree with the yoga master and Kundalini yoga at UH with community and EWC folks. Now, I may need to finally get my own mat.
