While visiting Annapolis, Maryland I stumbled upon Capistrano Barbershop. It’s a “genuinely old-fashioned barber shop experience” and is owned and operated by Faraj Capistrano from Nazareth. My barber was Gerard who endearingly regarded me as “my boy.” We chatted a bit about looking presentable for Christmas as he settled into his trade. The standard haircut entailed “clipper on the sides, scissor finish and hot lather shave around the ears, sideburns and the back of neck.” Among their other services are a straight edge shave, beard or goatee trim, and The Groomsman Package which includes drinks and hors d’oevres. This is a special place.
